Brevard County, Florida
Pastors and leaders in Brevard County are thinking and dreaming of the possibility of a Palau Festival in 2019
You are invited to join the conversation at a Vision Coffee on Thursday, November 16 from 10 - 11:30 AM at the Home Office of Christian Care Ministry Inc. - 4150 West Eau Gallie Blvd. Melbourne, FL. RSVP Here.
For some time now, there has been an ongoing conversation with interested business people and pastors in Brevard County about the possibility of an evangelistic festival and CityServe effort in partnership with LPA. Over the past year, an increased level of local interest coupled with an opening in the Palau schedule has prompted us to take this conversation to a broader group of churches and individuals to see what the Lord might be saying about coming together for a festival in the spring of 2019.
There are growing efforts in Brevard County as churches are working together to serve felt needs and share Christ in their communities. It is our prayer this proposed effort would complement and build on what God is already doing. “CityFest” is a simple, uniquely designed effort to touch communities at the core, openly share the gospel and deepen relationships between churches, Christian business people, and city leaders. We feel this partnership with LPA is well worth considering and are asking you to hear the vision and join the conversation.
At the November 16 gathering, Kevin Palau will share the full vision and answer questions, but here is an overview of the key components of a Festival.
- CityServe: A 6-8 month focus on engaging the faith, civic and business communities towards a shared vision to help the least fortunate in the region. CityServe builds on existing serving efforts by churches, identifies new opportunities to serve and brings new churches into the serving picture.
- Equipping: Believers across Brevard County will be equipped to share their faith in a winsome and relational way. The driving force behind all evangelistic efforts is building faith and confidence for individual believers to pray for and invite their friends who need Christ in their lives.
- Festival Evangelism: A free, family-friendly festival will engage every level of the community, from civic leaders to church congregations and proclaim the Good News on a large scale. The final festival event will incorporate great music, action sports demos by Christian athletes, a Family Fun Zone, prison outreaches, and powerful focused events for specific sectors of the community (Business/Civic leaders, women, etc.) where Andrew Palau, son of Evangelist Luis Palau, will share the clear message of Jesus Christ in a relevant and authentic way.
- Sustainability: Every effort is made to break down barriers, opens lines of communication, and advance a positive agenda to serving the community and sharing Christ on a long term basis, well after the festival is over.
